Get Educated on Sales Genius
Sales Genius is an amazing solution for brokers and manufacturer sales reps, but it becomes even more powerful when users know the ins and outs of using the platform. That’s why we’ve created a suite of training documents and videos to help you get the most out of Sales Genius.
There are several short training videos on our site to help you with ordering, setup, admin functions, and more. These videos will walk you through things like creating an order, how to quickly add multiple products to an order, setting up a new store or account, and pre-loading MCB and OI discounts. In addition, we have a full overview guide in pdf format that you can download and print for easy reference.
Important Info on Data Templates
Along with our user training, we also have data templates for admins to quickly upload items or OI/MCB discounts. Some of you may have the old templates, but those have recently been updated to include more valid information. If you’re currently using a template, be sure to visit our site to download the most recent versions. Here are a few hot tips for using our templates:
| • | Fill out as many fields as possible to help eliminate confusion as orders are created in Sales Genius. The more details, the easier it is to identify correct items when ordering. |
| • | Be sure to format the UPC column as text so the leading zeros are included. These leading zeros are part of the UPC, and without them your items may not load properly. |
| • | Don’t include symbols like $ or % in the columns as those symbols will cause problems when the file is uploaded. You can open and view your csv files in Notepad. This may make it easier to find and remove these symbols using the Replace All function. |
All of this intricate work will take some practice and getting used to, but the results will be worth it! Keep an eye on the Sales Genius menu.
